CHILLIWACK / VEDDER RIVER
A few  Coho have started showing in the hatchery. Water levels are low and clear. The best fishing will be early morning and late evenings. Try using small Colorado blades, peach yarn or procured roe. There will be increasing numbers of fish daily especially if we get some rainfall.

FRASER RIVER
The fishing for Sockeye has been very good since the opening. There was a commercial opening on Monday August 30th & Sept 1st, which did impact the number of fish in the system. The Chinook fishing has been slow, however the index has increased with strong numbers lately. Sockeye retention is still 2 Sockeye above Mission Bridge and 4 Sockeye below Mission Bridge.  Fishing times are from 1 hour before sunrise until 1 hour after sunset until further notice.
Sturgeon fishing is good as there is lots of big fish. Best bait: Sockeye parts, roe, eulichans, and dew worms.

FRASER VALLEY LAKES
All lakes have definitely seen warmer water conditions which has slowed down fishing activity.  Ross Lake and the Skagit have been productive this week.
Remember camp fires are banned.

INTERIOR LAKES
Higher level lakes have seen some good days with fishermen reporting good numbers and good sized fish.
Forest fires are effecting access to some lakes and camp fire bans are in effect throughout many areas of the Coast and Interior sections.
